As I mention before I will be discussing witchcraft because well, I'm a witch. I found out about witch craft in 2020 after the hex on the moon by a group of baby witches. I immediately started my journey. I have always loved greek mythology and the idea of getting to work with the gods made me giddy. I practice a wide variety of witchcraft I'm a solar witch, divination witch, elmantal, cosmic, green, crystal and a daughter of Hermes. Let me explain what all those mean to someone who may not know.
Solar- I work with the suns energy and Apollo. I pray to the sun, give offering to the sun, and cleanse myself in the sun. I believe everyone falls into the category of moon, sun and star. And i've always been a sun child.
Divination- Divination is probably what you think of when I say i'm witch (ofc unless you think I'm a hocus pocus character who worships satan). It's stuff like tarot, oracle, pendulums palm readings and more. It's what I've been practicing the longest besides deitie work. I got my first tarot deck in the 8th grade and haven't looked back sense.
Elemental- This ones simple it just means I work with the elements. I believe everyone is a mix of two elmests and I'm fire and earth. I do find myself using water alot to cleanse myself and working with air as a offering to Hermes though.
Cosmic- This just means I work with things like plants, stars, and zodiac signs. It's stuff like always knowing what moon phase it is and being aware of what your rising and moon sign are (I'm a sun in sag, moon in cancer, and rising in Scorpio)
Green- This is stuff like working with nature, animals, and herbs. I have a collection of herbs and often use the help of my pets to cleanse things.
Crystal- This is another simple one and technically not a witch type more of a witch hobby/collection. But this means you work with crystals and learn all there properties
Daughter of Hermes- I've been working with Hermes since the 8th grade when I first did a rain spell for him. He's like my dad of the spirit world and always lectures me through tarot cards when I piss him off.
