Iron flame thrift find

 

Context 

Guys, tomorrow is my last day of break!! I'm going on a day trip, so I'll probably gonna post when I get back if I'm not too tired. Anyways I just wanted to show you guys an amazing thrift find I found! I got the second book in the fourth wing series (iron flame) FOR TWO FUCKING DOLLARS! I'm gonna write a whole thing on my blog about it but I've been reading fourth wing my whole break and this literally almost brought me to tears. I'm convinced my gods did this!

I just wanted to apologize to myself for not posting at all lol! I've been really caught up in reading and stuff but ive really been slacking on blogger. I plan to start my playlist analysis either tomorrow or Monday (I'm so excited)!! But I wanted to come on here today to talk about a very cool thrift find!!

So as stated I've been reading fourth wing. Technically I've been listening to it on libby (I'm gonna be really annoying about this but please get a libary card and use this app I'm begging you. You get free audiobooks and ebooks but you might have to wait to get them and you only get them for like 21 days. But it's so good please use it). The audiobook is so well done. But anyways. 

I'm sitting in the libary bookstore after doing economics (I'm almost finished with the class!!) And freaking out because I'm almost done with fourth wing. And my dumbass didn't put a hold on iron flame and was gonna have to wait weeks to read it. Which I totally didn't want to do because Impatience is my middle name. Then guess what I fucking see. 

Now for even more context I've been in the trenches the past two days. Speficaly because of reading. I was going through a lot of self doubt and compression because I was convinced I just wasn't good enough to read. I struggle with pyschial booms because I can't sit still and audiobooks I don't know what to do while listening and I get very overwhelmed. Then I saw iron flame waiting for me. 

Now there's two big reasons I'm freaking out about this. One will probably make sense the other won't. First off, this book I later found out is THRITY FUCKING DOLLARS! Also it's a relatively new book and I fucking thrfted it. Secondly I genuinely belive this was a sign from my gods. 

If you don't know three Greek deties I worship. Now to some people this might sound crazy but religion and spiritually is different for everyone and this is what works for me. But remember when I said I was being so mean to myself? I genuinely belive this was my gods (speficaly hermes and apollo) telling me I am good enough. Like this was them rewarding me for actually reading. And I'm so fucking grateful. 

Anyways that's my silly little story about fourth wing! I am doing multiple podcasts about fourth wing (and will be doing the same for iron flame) on YouTube! Currently I'm on a somewhat internet break but the first fourth wing video should be up tomorrow or Monday.
