Elise playlist anaylis

 Hi, hey, hello! I've dieced to something fun and do a little character analysis for almost all of my characters. I'm not sure who I'm not gonna do yet (still figuring that out) but I know everyone is probably gonna get three songs (atleast that's the goal) expect the main characters they get five. I will be linking the playlist under this but incase you don't have Spotify I will be listing all the songs. I highly recommend you listen to all of them but if you're not up for that that's cool to. I also plan to do two hour long videos again to read my playlist analysis on my YouTube. But enough talking let's get into it.

1. Me and my husband- ok starting off with one of the only kinda not sad mistki songs first up to bait is me and my husband. This is one of the songs I listened to constantly when I was first working on iggy and elise. This song to me repsents two things when it comes to elise. One how she often feels embarrassed and not good enough to be with iggy. And two how she plans to stick with iggy her whole life. 

It's no secret that elise is heavily based off of me. She's nerdy, she's a band girlie, she's awkward. And iggy is a star freshman on varisty football player. Now elise is also an athlete marching band is a sport and, she's also in cheer, soccer, and softball. And also let me make this clear. Just because you are not as athletic or doing things that make you popular does not make you anyless worthy. But I do understand being insecure because I was insecure. My best friend was this gorgeous cheerleader and the guy I had a crush on was a football player. I was so insecure I quit band after five years and switched to cheer. I'm often to embarrassed to talk about that so writting elise is very therapeutic. None of her close friends are really into her needy stuff and while they support her it can be difficult to relate. She then feels guilt for being embarrassed because she shouldn't feel embarrassed (its totally not her fault though high-schoolers are so mean if you have a hobby that isn't aesthetic.) She just feels like she's not cool enough to be with her boyfriend. 

But this song to me is also about how no matter what iggy had stuck beside her. The line "but when he walks in I am loved I am loved". It took elise a long time to accept not only her feelings for iggy but his feelings for her. But after awhile she figured out no matter what they were together. 

2. Ribs- Ok before we get into anything let me put a TW. This next section does mention child SA. I obviously won't go into to detial but it is mentioned. Listening to this song made me deiecde elise would have something that happened to me as a kid happen to her. Again I'm not gonna get to into it but it's extremely important to have this representation in media. The line that speficaly inspired this was "little girl don't let them sell you an armour all your Ribs are still your own." That's all I'm gonna say for now but I love the crane wives and thus song. 

3. Vagabond-  two things that are important to learn about elise. One, she has bipolar. Two, so did her mom and it led to her mom committing and elise finding the body with her sisters boyfriend Todd. One thing you should know about me is among many other illnesses I have bipolar. Again elise is heavily based on me speficaly 15 year old me. 

I think this song does such a good job of showing the highs and lows of mental illness speficaly bipolar. And again let be clear me and elise are more then are we illnesses. But there still a huge part of our lives so this song is my tribute to that. 

4. Mind over matter- ok quick flew I did actually see this song in concert last July at the cage the elephant concert here in phoniex and it was one of the top 10 greatest moments of my life. But anyways lol. This song has always and will always be iggy and elises song. If my show every gets picked up I want so many edits to it. This is equally a iggy and elise song so I am gonna include it in iggy analysis swell. I mainly imagine this song during a prep ralley. Also the line "and if the world don't break ill be shaking it" is so youngest sibling coded (which elise is). Again this is more of an iggy song but I had to include it because it also does scream elise and her realtonship with iggy. 

5. KILBY GIRL- This is the elise song. Out of all songs this is it this is elise. Sorry to bring up iggy so much it's just they are so  intertwined it's hard not to. I imagine thus is how iggy sees elise and he sends her this there freshman year. I literally don't know what else to say except every single part of this song screams elise.
