Iggy playlist analysis

 Hi, hey, hello! If you read my previous blog you know I'm doing a little series analyzing my characters playlist. If you want more details check out my previous blog. In this post we are going over iggy. Again i will be linking the playlist below however, the cover art on is not mine i take no credit!!! Anyways enough yapping though let's get into it!!!

1. Pork soda- Before we get into this I will be mentioning SA so if you don't want to hear that just skip past love. Pork soda to me is about a young man being groomed by an older woman. And while that is not necessarily the exact thing that happens to iggy it is similar. There's gonna be a whole episode about this but basically iggy was having a really shit week. He was fighting with his brother alec and elise. So he went to a party to blow off some steam and a older girl took advantage of him. I think iggy copes alot with music so I think listening to this song is very healing for him. 

2. My exs best friend- Ok I choose this song for two reasons and there both stupid because this is a stupid song. One, when me and my ex bestie first developed iggy he was an angsty 8th grader who worshiper kayne west and machine gun Kelly (I came up with this is the 8th grade I don't support either of these men now). He was so angsty he wrote a diss track for every member of his family and realsed them on sound cloud. The second reason is because elises bestfriend (jackie) dated iggy in middle school. They were eachothers first kiss and shit. So iggy is technically dating his exs bestfriend. 

3. Campus- Iggys music taste is definitely indie and I feel like that says a lot about him as a person. I've always imanged campus as iggy and elise and college. And it's one of those scenarios we're they keep seeing eachother briefly but don't actually get to talk. This song is the vibe iggy brings to the party. 

4. Mind over matter- I also choose this song for elise but it's truly an iggy song. The line about being a young man after all. I think iggy feels a lot of responsibility (his whole family does tbh) to be support and be there for his loved ones. But he also feels like he's destructive and deystores everything he touches. And this is also very much him observing elise because he is a observer! 

5. Talk too much- The best way I can describe iggy and elises realtonship is like fumbling around with the ball but still making the catch. It's awkward at points but overall they have so much love for eachother it works. And that's what this song means to me!
