How/Why i got into witchcraft

 Quick disclaimer 

I know witchcraft is not for everyone and not everyone accepts it. While you are entitled to your opinion I am begging you to keep to yourself. I have no problem with what other people choose to practice as long as it is not harmful to me or others. I think we need to show younger people that there are more options then just god (again there is nothing wrong with worshiping god or believing him but we need to learn there are other options!) Its also OK to belive in nothing at all. Just please don't force your beliefs onto others. With all that let's get into my journey of witchcraft!

How I got into to it!

I started my practice In the summer of 2020 (I don't know the exact date unfortunately). Before I started I had no idea this could be an option for me but once a friend told me I instantly fell in love. 

Why I choose to practice 

I practice for two main reasons 

1. It's fun

2. It comforts me

First off I have so much fun with my craft, I include it in all my hobbies and just life in general. I try consuming witch media, if I dance or swim I do it for aphordite, if I sing it's for apollo, if I run or eat an orange it's for Hermes. It's so much fun to be a witch I wouldn't trade it for the world!

Second, it brings me so much comfort. Like a lot of witches I more belive in the universe and energies. I get it can be very unbelievable that I worship ancient Greek gods but I belive everything has energy including them! When I get scared or sad I feel there engery and it helps me. Now I am aware this can go to far and you should not just be relying on spiritual practice to feel better. But it is also true that praying to my hermes helps me. And when I feel really big emotions it's nice to think I have a friend. 

Hermes 

I started working with Hermes in March 2021 (our four year anniversary is this year!!) It was a little bit of a journey to find out it was him but once I cracked the code everything made sense. For example my pet turtle, how my father describes my smile as "a shit eating grin", and my general Mischievousness. Working with Hermes is like having a partner in crime or more like having a best friend. I do everything for my gods and spirit guides but mainly for Hermes. He's like my father but also like my evil older cousin who let's me smoke with him (that's a joke I don't smoke but if I did it would be for hermes). He is my bestfriend (besides my dead dogs and turtle). 

Aphordite 

I started working with aphordite in October of 2023. It was an extremely hard time in my life and I was in desperate need of guidance. Before her I never plan to work with any female detie because of my cripling mommy issues. Working with her has healed me so much. She's the mother I always needed. Working with her feels like a housing warm kisses on my body. She is litterally my mother. I love you mama dite. 

Apollo

Apollo is my newest detie to my collection. I stated working with him in May of 2024 and just planned to work with him during the summer but got way to attached. Apollo feels like my cool older brother who calls me kid, helps me with my arts and crafts, and gives me long lecturers about love. Working with him is like having the sun on my back.
